Peanut Butter

Koeze Company makes old-fashioned peanut butter (just peanuts and salt) as we have since 1925. Our Cream Nut Brand natural peanut butter is made from Virginia peanuts on traditional equipment that my grandfather, Albertus Koeze, would have viewed as obsolete. We use the same equipment to make our Sweet Ella’s organic peanut butter, which we craft from organic Spanish peanuts. –jk

Chocolates

Koeze Company crafts the best turtles you will ever eat. We think a turtle is all about the caramel. Ours is cooked slowly in individual batches so that the caramel flavor is fully developed. We place the caramel on a bed of pecans, and then coat them in either milk or dark chocolate.

Our Cream-Nut Peanut Butter Clusters are made with the same process, and with the same care, but with a different filling. We make this filing with our own peanut butter, which we blend with a white chocolate confectioner’s coating to make a smooth peanut butter center for this unique confection. –jk

Finest Roasted Nuts

Soon after entering the peanut butter business in the 1920′s my grandfather began roasting nuts. Over the years we have narrowed our focus to roasting the highest quality tree nuts from around the world, using decades of experience to source the best and treating them with the care they deserve at every stage of the process. –jk

How We Sell

Koeze Company sells products through four primary channels. We sell our products at wholesale both to distributors and directly to retailers. In Grand Rapids, Michigan we have two company-owned retail stores. We also have a division called Third Coast Partners that serves the charitable groups who sell our products to support their communities. Finally, we have appointed Koeze Direct, LLC to serve our catalog and e-commerce customers.

Our History

Koeze Company was founded in 1910 by my great-grandfather, Sibbele Koeze, as a wholesale grocer selling produce, butter, and eggs to small stores around Grand Rapids, Michigan. His son, Albertus Koeze, took over the business about 1918. In 1925 Albertus purchased a local peanut butter company, and from then until today peanut butter and roasted nuts have been part of Koeze’s. My father and mother, A. Scott and Ruth Koeze, began making confections in the 1980′s. My mother retired in the early ’90′s, my father in the late ’90′s, and since then I (Jeff Koeze) have worked to continue our traditions of great products and great service.
